Carpet Recycling
Textile Recycling

Carpet is made up of two components: face fiber and a backing system. When properly reduced and separated, the resulting Nylon 6, Nylon 66, polypropylene, or PET can be used in a variety of new products, including automotive parts, bricks, roofing shingles, road surfaces, insulation, and more.

Our Rotary Impact Separator (RIS) efficiently performs this first phase of the carpet and textile recycling process. Unlike the more traditionally used hammer mill, the RIS combines the impact and separation technologies to break the material into its components for easy recovery, resulting in higher production and an end product that is 50-100% cleaned. Additionally, the slow speed of the RIS results in lower operating costs.
