Destruction of data and the dismantling and separating of raw materials are the two most common objectives for e-waste recycling.

As the pulverizing action of the hammer mill disassembles the electronics, all data is destroyed. The liberated components then pass through the sizing screen where Eddy Current magnetic separation sorts the ferrous materials from non-ferrous materials for further processing.
